[ There's a least a little mad leftover, evidenced by the pause that hits hard--but doesn't last long. ]

A guy I know--my friend...went through your club. He said you pulled him out of the ring against his will, but he was still...fucking hamburger, man.

Not--I didn't reach out to yell at you. Thank you. For stopping him. You do that a lot?

Ah, yes. I have a pretty good sense for trouble at my age, and prefer to prevent it if I can.

[ Thus why he played the part of the boring chaperone in the castle, too. ]

[ It's taken time, but he's beginning to understand the actions taken back at the castle. Admittedly, much of his understanding stayed locked up being indignity until he talked with Murphy, but he's had a lot to think about, worry about, since then. Like: ]

I know the club--helps. With the beast. But people leaving there with the shit kicked out of them is its own kind of trouble, I figure. You should have somebody there. For bad cases, or--or for trouble.

Like a medic.

Do you have someone in mind for this role?

[ Terry's plan was to intervene by himself and shoo them off to the clinic if needed, but he supposes an on-site medic would provide some benefit. ]

I've got time. I mean, not every night, but--most of them. I've been working at the clinic, and before I got here, I was...doing shit a lot like this.

Some of these injuries shouldn't sit, even for a couple of hours.

[ Even if he doesn't like his penchant for snooping and disobeying instructions. But he's not hiding anything in the fight club, so that shouldn't be an issue. ]

We'll cross that bridge if we need to.

[ And given the chat they've already had about causing trouble, he hopes they won't need to. ]

I'm a medic, not a masochist. If I wanted to get the shit kicked out of me, I'm sure I could find a way to do it that doesn't eat up my nights.
